700r4 slippage, not the preverted kind

hey, i got bout 85k miles on my car and yesterday the transmission started to slip out of nowhere, i checked the trans oil and it was A. OK...its only gotten a little worse since but has seemed to stay where it is now, it slips 1-2 and 2-3 just a little, and when i completely floor it, it slips so bad i will not even floor it anymore, the rpms got dangeriously close to 6500 rpm before i realized something was wrong...i took it to a place down the street and they said its nothing on the outside thats making it slip, so its probably something on the inside, anyone know what it might be?

have to take it apart and see. damaged/swolen lip seal, damaged rings, cracked/broken components, or just a beat trans.
