700r4 Very High Shift points only when cold
Pretty weird problem where if it's cold outside 20-35* F and I don't let my car warm up for more than 10 minutes it won't shift into 2nd until about 2500-3000 rpms. As soon as its warmed up it'll shift normally at 1500 rpms.
Thought it was a stuck TV valve, but smashing the throttle doesn't seem to do anything. And it's temperature dependant???
If it's 40-50*F outside it'll shift fine without a lengthy warmup.
What would cause a temperature dependanty shift problem??
Had it rebuilt this last summer (about 4000 miles ago) for the 300hp/400tq motor and just recently had an upgraded 4th gear servo installed (300 miles ago) to try and get rid of a flare on 3-4 shift (didn't help...) and after the servo was installed from the shop that rebuilt it, still under warrenty, it started doing this. He did end up taking the valve body off and inspecting the valves, which is why I think it might have something to do with the TV valve. But why does temperature/warmup time affects it?
Any ideas??
I hate taking it back to the shop because the guy really rods on my car, and the way he rods on it, I can't see how he can possibly tell whats going on with the shifts.

i would like to get some input on this also because i have owned 2 irocs that did the same .
they always shifted hard (especially into 2nd) when the car was cold like it had an aggressive shift kit , but shifted smooth when the car warmed up .. both were stock cars .
