Re: ACT Converters

Who knows... I can't even get Andre at Edge converters, (who I sent it to to try and and fix the lock up problem) to send me a picture of the lockup conical that I need. I finally got a hold of Sal at act and he needs this pic to see which design of converter I have. So now my car sits waiting to get the converter back while I wait to get a picture. Looks like I'm screwed on this years Power Tour as well and it comes 30 miles from my frickin house!!!

Re: ACT Converters

of all the v-8 700r4/4l60/4l60 converters i had cut open(and this has been A LOT), there is only one design conical. Sounds like ACT is yanking your chain and why Edge can't get one is beyond me.

try calling these guys:http://sponsors.transteam.com/Consol...s/company.html

there # is 1-800-727-4461. tell them what you need and see if they will sell it separately.

Re: ACT Converters

Sal at ATC said he changed designs of converters 5-7 years ago (about the same time I bought mine from Dana at Probuilt) and he needs to see what design I have, if it is the old one I am s.o.l. but if it is the new design he can help me. I just don't feel like dumping another 600.00 into another converter when the old one has only 12000 miles on it and find out after I get my new one that I could have fixed my old one with a 12 dollar part and the only problem is the lock up. BUT if it can't be fixed I will buy another converter. It is just the lack of response from Andre at Edge leaves a sour taste in my mouth and from this I don't think I will ever do business with him again, unless something changes between now and then or I finally get my picture.
