I want to put new gears in my car. Its an 88 Iroc 350 and currently has 2.77 gears. Im looking for a little bit more umph out of the car. I was leaning towards 3.42 gears and wanted to hear what opinions anyone else has.

 

I would go with that. Any higher it may be to steep for your motor if its kept close to stock

 

Thats what I was thinking. Im going to stick with the 3.42 and 10 bolt from a 4th gen if I can find one cheap or at a junk yard.

 

Ive decided on a 4th gen 10 bolt 3.42 rear end.

 

I have 3.45s and they are WAY better than the old 2.77's.

omg they are lol. except the guys who painted my car were supposed to give me that strip kit but got me the dlack and gold, which i dont mind. they also put my iroc door sticker on the front of the door instead of rear. oh well. only a true thirdgen person would know the difference.
but yea i got all the specs on the 4th gens with 3.42 gears so off to the junkyard soon.
