Auto 5 speed swap
I have a 454 with a 350 TH tranny in my 88 SC, and am currently starting a swap for manual. I've collected a lot of the small pieces, but am unsure of what tranny to look for. Are all the 5 speeds the same, or are some specific models heavy duty? If I purchase the stock 5 speed, cross member, and drive shaft, will it be compatible?

the stock t5 or wct5 will not hold up to much abuse. You would be better off looking at a t56 or a tko600, i assume they work onto a bbc?
