ok i got a 1989 formula.
i was wondering how hard it would be to swap a manual tranmission in to a car t-5 or t-56 that has an 700r4 auto

i know i need the
tranny complete assemby
crossmember
manual tranny wirign harness
clutch pedal
booster for clutch
and cut hole in floor pan

i am lookig nfor a guesstimate on the price, difficulty, and time it would take

Hard depends on how much you've done to thirdgens in the past and what tools you have at your disposal, the only car i did a drive in 700R4/ drive out T56 swap i believe took me 4 hrs iirc. Hard ? To some maybe, to others not so much.

There is no "manual tranny wiring harness" in reality unless you are talking about changing the entire engine harness, which doesnt make much sense.

I have a piece of a manual trans thirdgen firewall i cut out around the column hole and has the master holes on it, so i can bolt it in place and use as a template, some people just use the clutch pedals as a template once installed.

Going to a T56 you will also need an SGI-5 box for the speed signal

With a T5 you dont need a different crossmember.

You will need a manual trans torque arm mount bracket with either.

Price varies a lot, it depends on how much you can get what for, and sometimes you get what you pay for especially on the transmission itself.

anywhere from $250-1000 for T5 is about right

and i'd guess $1000-4000 for the T56, since some people buy them new.

also scratch wiring harness off that list.
