Richmond 6 Speed?
I'm getting tired of dealing with the 700R4, (nobody seems to know anything about them!). And I would rather have a close ratio manual instead of the auto. I have 3.27 gears in my 9 bolt, and I'm not going drag racing so instant off the line isn't what I'm looking for. My bird is built to take turns, and that's what I want to do with it.
Now, that said, I have a 383 pushing about 350+ horses at the flywheel, and when I change the intake I should be looking closer to 400hp, (before the NOS). I was wondering if anyone else has this set up (or close to it) and if you can tell me what you like or dislike about the tranny. I have all of the necessary swap stuff from auto to WC-T5, so it will be sort of a direct bolt in, (barring the normal mods like cutting a hole for the shifter, and for the clutch master cyl.).
Also, what comes in the kit? I've read the mount does, what else? What is the shifter like? How does it feel? Will I need to get (or can I get) an aftermarket shifter for shorter throws? What kind of clutch do you have? I've read one post where the person had a dual disc clutch, but I think he said he didn't really need that much holding power. My tires are Goodyear Eagle RSAs, so there pretty sticky.
Thanks in advance.
