Rearend noise
I had my car on jack stands today and I noticed when I spin the rear wheel
I hear this clicking sound? I was just wondering if this is normal or if its bad?
my rear end is a open 10-bolt with 3.08 gears.

Re: Rearend noise
I'm not postive, but I think mine does the same thing.
Its a 83 with a open rear end.
I'm going to have it up later today so I'll let you know if it does later.
Although I don't know if thats a bad thing or not.
It seems to me I noticed mine doing that the other day and was wondering the same thing.

Re: Rearend noise
I had a 82 camaro with 3.23 open rear end and I am pretty sure it made the same noise
Re: Rearend noise
Probably perfectly normal. All you're hearing is the spider gears rotating around. Since the other axle doesn't rotate when you do this, the spider gears in the center of the rear rotate as you turn the one axle. This is what causes the clicking noise.
