T56 & hedman long tube headers

Will i run into any clearance problems swapping in a T56 in my 89 camaro and running the hedman long tube headers? My oil pan will look like this. Thanks for the help.

Your oil pan won't really matter...

You're going to have issues with clearance at the rear of the trans where the xmember is. I'm using one that has two humps cutout for the exhaust to travel through and tuck up tight. Although I still have clearance problems because of how lowered the car is.

Re: T56 & hedman long tube headers

I am running the t56 and headmens and no issues, I also am running a canton race pan so that wont be an issue eaither. I wraped he slave with the header wrap and used zip ties to holdit in palce and the zip ties haven't melted so You will be fine.

Re: T56 & hedman long tube headers

Mine is a modified crossmember from a poster on here. 'Drews' I haven't seen him post in awhile but he used to fab them up, paint them and ship 'em out. I welded a torque arm mount to it to pull the mount away from the trans. Kinda like...

I used to have the spohn unit.

It a beefy unit. But the passanger side L bracket that attached to the subframe hung down insanely low and I hit on EVERYTHING. Eventually it ground itself down.

I use to use the spohn alo but was way to low. I converted to the Skulte one.http://www.skulte.com/product_info.p...products_id/45
