t56 questions...
where can i find a t56 shift rail ( i believe that is what is called...the rods that conect the forks to the shifter...)...
and how much of difference would installing bronze fork pads, steel forks, and billet steel keys make, in terms of handling power? will it increase the torque rating at all?
Thanks.

Re: t56 questions...
I really don't think the steel 3-4 fork, billet keys, and bronze pads will increase the power handling capability of a T56, but they will increase it's reliability substantially. I just purchased a T56 that only had 60k on it, and the 3-4 fork was bell mouthed on the shift rail, and broken 3-4 syncro keys caused by the 3-4 fork problem. That was all that was wrong with the trans. I've seen main shaft upgrades, carbon fiber syncro's and cryo treating of the gears. Depends on how much power you have, and how much $$$ you want to spend.
There are a number of companies that advertise their services for T56 rebuilds and increase in power handling capability. I'd first start with Bob Hanlon at Hanlon motorsports. I've had really good luck with Bob.
