So I swapped a th350 in place of the 700r4. When it was all done I had no speedo. We thought it wiped the speedo gears out so I bought new ones but the old ones were fine. I get a code 24 after the first decel driven every time. I can't stand that bright orange light. What else could I be missin. Could the vss have just gone bad? It's on the back of the speedo head right? What else could be wrong I would really like a speedo and no light. Please help. Thanks.

are you sure the cable is good? that '85 camaro should have a speedo cable going to the vss. if it broke or came out of place during the swap, that could be your problem.
