Harsh Sound

Hey everyone!

Once in a while when I hit the gas on my car, i heard a loud shaking/vibrating sound coming from the rear for a second. It mostly happens when im going uphill or at a stop, and making a turn and hitting the gas. Sometimes it makes the sound when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Usually goes away after a few miles of driving. It sorta sounds like someone farting or when u drive too close to the shoulder on a highway, and the car makes that noise because of the strip of ribbed road.

I changed the differential oil and gasket, so thats ruled out. Any other ideas? Thanks again.

Re: Harsh Sound

I got a sound like that on a Z28 I used to own. Shortly after, the sound continued all the time, and I found out I'd turned the gears in the rear end to putty.
