Auto to Manual swap.

I know I have to run the linkage & stuff for the swap, but my question is this: The manual tranny for a late third gen was a T5, correct? Is that the same tranny as in say a 2.8 liter 93 Chevy S-10? If not, will that tranny work in a 3.1 powered Firebird? Is there any other tranny ya'll would reccomend? Jeep/ AMC uses an AX-5 in their later 4-Cylinder YJ Wranglers, but I doubt this would work in a GM product, despite it's quite the compact unit. I have a few of these sitting around, so I thought I'd throw that out there...

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Auto to Manual swap.

to put the t5 into your v6 car, you need a t5 from a v6 f-body car with the torque arm provision.

You can use any T-5 from any F-body. You just have to get the V6 bellhousing.
