TH350 help
Hello. I have an 88 camaro. I took the 700r4 out and put a TH350 in. i need to know how long the driveshaft needs to be and where i could get one. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: TH350 help
it depends on how long the output shaft is on your tranny. the th350 has several different lengths that will determine your driveshaft length.

Re: TH350 help
If its a 6" tailshaft turbo 350 a drive shaft out of a 82 f-body with a th200c
or 4-speed will work. I think the length is 41" from weld to weld

Re: TH350 help
th350 with 6" tail = th200 200c 250 250c 2004r powerglide
th350 with 9" tail = 700r4
if you already installed a 6" tail th350 then you done already messed up and will have to try and find a 200C driveshaft- in which was only in 82 and 83 and-but is the required 3" longer that you need now
alot harder to find
good luck

Re: TH350 help
I would slide the slip yoke into the back of the tranny all the way then pull it back out 1". Measure from center of u-joint on the tranny yoke to center of u-joint on the diff yoke. That's the length you need. then take your 700r4 drive shaft to a machine shop and get them to shorten it. Thats what I did when I had a TH350 in my car.
