making my custom lockup switch

Look i had the manual switch for the lockup before i switched to carb. my question now is i ripped out all the computer stuff. All i have is the clip and the wires of where the transmission clip is.

What wires do i use to make my own switch work again?

I bought the tci one and it doesnt even have a switch like it said. pissed me off and im returning it.

i just want to hit the switch and i have it locked up.

Is it bad to not use a lockup on a converter that has it? just worse gas mileage right?

Re: making my custom lockup switch

iv heard not locking up the converter will increase tranny temps significantly, and shorten life.

the wiring has harness 4 wires that come from the tranny to the engine harness there is a tan/black that is ground and the pink or purple wire is the positive for the converter lockup. just wire up a acc(only hot when the key is on) positive feed from sum where to the pink or purple, and ground the other to the body and it should work. put your switch in line of either of these wires and it will work.

somebody else chime in if i am incorrect here
