Do I need a scatter shield ?
I have a 70's 350 4 bolt main sbc, it has been bored .30 over, has a mild to moderate Crane cam not sure on cam specs but it is a Crane, it has factory heads but from another motor with larger valves not sure about what motor either , The man building the motor passed away before he fully completed the motor and i bought it from his estate thats why little info, it has an edelbrock performer dual plane intake, with Qjet at the moment adding holley 625cfm once i find someone to buy my shitty intake stupid clearance issues( I chromed my factory Ram Air cleaner to keep the ram), the motor also has hydraulic lifters, upgraded oil pump, flat top pistons, balanced crank, flowtech shorty headers 2 1/2" that ties into 3", Accel distributor cap, rotor, and supercoil. upgraded timing chain aswell.
I had my 83 T5 rebuilt new bell housing gears shafts and mesh. Do you think it will hold up to this motor? Should i use a scattershield for it? I just got it running after a long time kinda scared to pin it till I find out.
