Roller Pilot Bearing removal
I cant get my pilot bearing out.
I have tried the pack with grease, but the grease flows past the roller bearings and around the dowel shaft. I have used this method sucessfully in the past on a solid bearing.
I rented a puller tool today and it did not work either. I may modify the tool th make it bite harder.
Anyone with any experience.
Whe I get it out a solid unit is going back in.

Re: Roller Pilot Bearing removal
I just did the same thing a couple weeks ago. I also tried the grease method, which didn't work for me either. I used a slide hammer to pound the bearing out and eventually it came out.
