Ways to beef up T-5???
Ways to beef up T-5???
Does anybody know if there's any way to beef up a GM T-5 so that it can handle about 350 ft-lbs of torque? Is the T-5's casing it's weakness or is it the internal parts?
Any help is appreciated,
Jason

Its really the internal parts. www.gearzone.net makes a 5th gear stabilizer, and you can use hardened synchros, but basically thats about it.

Checkout this article. It's about the Ford spec T5, but they're pretty much the same thing.
