Hard shift

I just got the engine in my sig running and while it was in the garage I just shifted into reverse to see how it was and it banged in quite a bit harder than usual. Is this because I literally have more than double the horsepower than before or something?also what should I do to the 700 r4 to handle the engine I have?I dont expect to be driving it hard right now anyway because I am going to break it in easy and I have to use the stock tbi for a few days which wouldnt feed the engine I have worth anything while I am waiting for the 670 even though it is in my sig,I put it in because I technically have it.I changed all the fluid including in the torque converter so far and thats it.

Perhaps the TV cable needs an adjustment. When you disconnected it off of the TBI unit, it would need and adjustment when hooked back up.

Try lowering your idle a bit, sounds like the engine is revving to high when you put it in gear.
