OK I know this stocker wont hold up in the long run but I have invested alot on my car and would like my tranny to last as long as possible. What can I do to preserve it for a while and still be able to run 12`s ? Also when I do decide to upgrade my tranny what is ther best transmission on the market today?

If you drive like there's an egg between your foot and the gas pedal, it'll last for a while. But it's hard to say how long it'll last normally. Depends how many miles are on it now. For a rebuild, try www.pro-built.net He is a good guy, was around for a long time on thirdgen.org before.

I'm a long way away, but many good shops around here will give you a hell of a trans with all the goodies for about $800 if you bring in the trans. They have to do it, it will cost you.
If you do not want to rebuild the transmission right now, and yours is in good condition,? Then put in the Trans-Go Hi-Performance Shift Kit, along with the large boost valves & Corvette servo. This should do for awhile until you get what you want.
