Looking at a new torque converter which Stall?

Like I asked, which stall 2500 or 2000, and which is the best brand? Got dyno max headers going in and an accel ing.

with your limited mods you shouldn't need a lot of stall. i'd look at 200-2500 range. as for best manufacturer you'll get a bad experience story and a endorsement from every one you ask.

I agree with ede there, i have a 2000 stall on my car, nice...very driveable. Heck i think my stall is like off brand too. If i remember from my papers correctly it's like daeco or something. Been great so far and its no a B&M or something like that. Just personal prefference and how much money you want to spend for just a B&M logo stamped on to a AC Delco converter. btw, if i may ask, what do you run the the 1/4 mile? i have a fairly similar setup just wandering what something with similar mods runs.

------------------
89 IROC-Z 350 TPI

-Flowmaster Catback
-Performance Resource Chip
-Rebuilt 700R4 Tranny
With the goodies to go

-K&N Airfilters
-Ported Plenum
-2.77 Gears (not much to brag about but eh, its there)

I have no idea trying to get a few upgrades before I even try. Dont want to look bad in a 3rd gen at the track.

I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SAY THAT.
GO TO THE TRACK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, THEN WHEN YOU DO THE MODS, YOU SEE WHAT YOU GAINED BY DOING THEM, I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT MY MONEY AND WORK WAS REALY WORTH FOR HP.

AND YOU REALLY DONT NEED A HIGH STALL IN IN YOUR CONVERTER UNLESS YOU HAVE DONE A WHOLE LOT OF MODS THAT TAKE YOUR ENGINE'S TORQUE RANGE ABOVE STOCK.
IF YOU GET A HIGHER STALL CONVERTER WITH A MILDLY MODDED ENGINE IT WILL PROBABLY TAKE YOU BEYOND THE ENGINES TORQUE RANGE, AND YOU WILL FEEL SLUGISH
SPEND THE MONEY ON SOMTHING ELSE, FOR NOW, THEN COME BACK TO THAT, LATTER

I can't remember the option codes but I think it's L35 that is a S-10 truck converter but it's 2200rpm, If you don't like that one then check out the vette converters some models of them went up to 1900rpm I think, I'd go to gmpartsdirect.com and look at there's GM parts fairly affordable
