Engine Identification for TPI

Engine Identification for TPI
I have an engine code found on the head deck. Looking from the front of car, the readable ID is V0113DDA and up side ID is 1G148618. Can anyone tell me what year, size engine this would be? How can I find out if this is the original engine. I was told its an 88, but I'm thinking NOT since the valve cover hold downs are at the parimeter.
