Plan to install new valve body...any suggestions?

I have limited tranny experience, just change the fluid and filter and thats about it. How involved is installing one of these valve bodys that allows the car to shift into 4th at WOT? At the track, i'm redlining before i get to line in 3rd, does anyone think this valve body change would help it out or hurt? Not that i am doing it souly for the track, but just wondering.

thanks

You'll need to watch the checkballs and make sure you don't loose any. They'll all fall out when you pull the valve body. Some go in the top half and some go in the bottom half. The directions should have picture locations of check ***** if not I still have some. It's not all that hard to remove and install a valve body, just get assembly lube to hold the check ***** in place.

I just did art cars shift kit and fourth gear sleve, If all you need is the sleve and no shift kit its not too complicated. Shift kit needs a little know how.

If i can assume you remove the pan, generally, what comes next? What else comes off in order to remove the old body, is there anything that needs to be properly aligned, besides the checkballs, is there anything else to watch out for?

I guess the main question is does the valve body come with comprehendable instructions? I know how some of these parts instructions are.

thanks
