my z28 has clutch problems.....

i just put a new T-5 in my 84 z28 and after i had it all put back together i accidentaly broke the slave cylinder and i got a new one and put everything back together and now my clutch pressure is at the very last 4 inches of petal. But if I lie under the car and get someone to push the petal very slightly then the slave cylinder moves very slightly. what is my problem??????

Moving this to the Transmission and Drivetrain forum. You should get more help there.

I had this problem a few weeks ago. Make sure you hook up the clutch pedal first. Then bleed the system out then connect up the clutch fork. Dont let it run out of fluid in the resivior. It takes forever to bleed if you do.
