Will a nonlocking torque converter cause my computer to go nutz. The lockup in my RS will lock then unlock several times before the temp gets up to normal. After that it is fine.

I dont know a whole lot about torque converters, but from what I've heard and read here, you always want a locking converter for a street car. You could get one from an 89 Corvette for not a lot of money, and it'll be 2000 RPM stall instead of your stock 1600 RPMs.

The computer's fine.. in fact, it's what's telling your torque convertor to lock and unlock. (Engine temp is one of the things the computer checks for lockup to occur.)
