Help Reconnecting Transmission

Hi Everbody,

Okay, I got a big mess on my hands: I've got a 1990 Firebird that was in the middle of an engine swap about two years ago. Well, life happened, and I haven't worked on it since then. In the meantime, my girlfriend and I broke up, and I moved out. Well, the car is still at her place, and she wants to sell her house. So, the car must be moved!

My problem is that the transmission is unbolted from the frame, and I'm not sure how to reconnect it so the car can be moved (it's been so long since I've done anything to the car). Furthermore, the driveshaft, rear diff, rear axles & wheels have all been removed, as I was putting in an eaton posi.

My question is this: Is it possible to move the car in this condition? If not, what do I need to do to get the car moveable? At this point, I'm considering just selling the car, the other engine, and all the aftermarket parts cheap to anyone who can take all of it off my hands!

Sorry to come off as so desperate, but any help/advice is appreciated. I bit off more than I could chew with on this one and now it's come back to bite me in the a**.

Thanks!

Do you want to keep the car? If you do, might just purchase a compelte rear end from a wrecking yard and bolt it in place. That way you could at least get the car loaded onto a roll back and delivered to wherever you want to store it.

Re: Help Reconnecting Transmission

That's a good idea.

At this point though, I don't know when I'd have the time to work on it even if I did keep it, so I am definitely open to selling it.

I will probably get an inventory of everything I have (including the aforementioned eaton posi, a 350 tpi block with new cam [the stock 305 is still in the car] and edelbrock aluminum heads) and get some pics this weekend to post on the for sale board. Overall, I've got a lot of great new parts for this beast, just no time and an impatient ex.
