what carrier do i have???????

i have an 87 camaro and i have no idea what gear carrier it has. i think it has a limited slip but again i am unsure. but the rear is a 10 bolt 7.5. Is there a # on the rear that will tell me what i have and if so how can i check the #? Thanx for the info!

Look on the front of the passenger side axle tube. There should be a three-character number/letter code stamped there. Scrape all the accumulated crude carefully to be sure you read it correctly. Haynes has the codes in their manual, or post the code here for someone to decode for you.
