Stripped Speedo cable Bolt

Hello, I was replacing the o-ring on the speedo cable the other day and I stripped the threads when putting the retainer back on, the bolt broke in there, I am wondering what the best thing would be to do, I was thinking about putting a heli coil in there but is there any way I can keep the hole the same size, like installing a new part?

Also is there a special type of O-ring to put in there it seems to leak alot and the next size up wont fit in there. (this was back when the bolt was fine)

A Helicoil will keep the hole the same size.

O ring for what, around the speedo gear housing? Just get a new one from the dealer.

Yeah the speedo gear housing, I tried a couple o-rings, one was too small and the other was too big and they were one size apart
