having a 700r built

hey everybody, i know iv asked a simaliar question to this before, but slightly different this time. so, i recieved a 700r out of an 84 z28 (i have an 84 z28 with a 700r already but its olddd and in rough shape). so, im going to be having this one profesionally rebuilt and it will take the place of my current tranny. now, im going to be putting in a vette servo and a transgo kit. i was also thinking about a tranny cooler, and was just wondering if its worth it and if anyone could recommend me one. also, are there any other little upgrades i could have done to the tranny while its out? thank you!

Re: having a 700r built

I would get a cooler bigger the better and i would also get a .500 boost valve. There are many upgrades you can do and depending on trans shop they may do only the ones they have to. Key question would be how much power do you need it to hold. for stock or near stock rebuild a vette servo and .500 boost valve with a transgo kit will be fine. Some upgrades that would be nice to have done regardless of engine output is a 3-4 clutch pack either a (Raybestos Z-pak) or (ALTO 9 pack), Pinless Accumalator pistons, and a Low reverse boost valve .283 or .300

I carry the modified TransGo Performance Shift kit. It has the Corvette servo, .500" main boost valve, .296" intermediate/reverse, Torlon checkballs, setup for smooth part throttle shifts, firm WOT shifts, etc. Go to https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/prod...&cat=65&page=1 This is the complete description of the kit.
