After 15 years of service my M39 failed,shifts ok but grinds in 1st thur 3rd and rattles in neutral.Shops in my area give me prices in the 1200 to 1800 range for rebuild is this for real or BS?Anybody had same trouble.

 

Jasper quoted me $1570 w/ 3year 36k parts, 2years 24k on labor for warranty. But i dont know how much shipping is and you have to send your old one back otherwise they hit you with a core charge. Im looking into a local shop that sells rebuilt trannys tommorow - i can let you know if you email me.
