Stock LT1 T56 flywheel on 2pc RMS
Hey guys. I tried searching for literally hours, on what needs to be done exactly to convert the 1pc RMS stock flywheel to work on a 2pc RMS crank.
Last year i did the T56 swap myself, and i took my stock 2pc RMS T5 flywheel and the stock 1pc RMS LT1 flywheel to a machine shop, and had them CNC machine the 2pc bolt pattern and center hole drilled onto the LT1 flywheel.
Now, everything bolted up perfectly, in fact it worked perfectly fine, except the engine developed a vibration between 2600 and 4600 rpms.
It makes driving horrible, and obviously it has something to do with balance weights on the stock flywheel, so my question is, what do i need to do exactly to have this vibration gone?
I know lots of people have done this before, where they get the stock 1pc flywheel redrilled/cut for the 2pc RMS crank, but i cant find ANY info on what they did about those counter weights on the back of the LT1 flywheel.

You probably already know this but the Centerforce 700107 flywheel is what you need to complete your setup. I didn't want to shell out $400 just for a flywheel either, but it will be worth it when you are vibration free.

Its going to take trial and error in rebalancing the flywheel until you find the combination that works. Unless you have the balance specs on your engine, that might help narrow it down.
