Quick response regarding hydraulic assembly please!
Hey guys,
Trying to decide whether I should buy the entire system (rather expensive) or just buy the slave cylinder, which I think is the problem.
Went under the car and the shaft on the cylinder appeared to be pretty much broken, it has a ton of lateral movement and seemed to be leaking. Is it hard to just install the slave cylinder and bleed the system?
Pretty sure the hydraulic system is the cause of my hard-shifting problem...if I pound the clutch to the floor and shift real fast it is easier to shift but sometimes in first you can feel the car creep forward at a red light and the revs don't drop too much when clutched.
Do I have to remove the whole hydraulic system to bleed it? How exactly does one bleed this system?
Needing a quick answer cause I might do it today!
Thanks,
Cam

Buy the slave cylinder and install it first before getting the entire system. You do not have to remove the entire system to bleed it. If you ever did brake work, same principle. Push clutch to the floor, unscrew the bleed screw, let fluid out, tighten screw, let off clutch, then do it again. Make sure you have fluid in the reservoir.
