Ok, recently I shattered most of my pinion teeth off my rear end, causing a horrible vibration as I drove home down the freeway. About a block from my house the rear end finally jammed up and both rear tires locked up. I put my car into reverse and then it freed things up allowing me to drive it home, but only if I kept it in first.I have since replaced the rearend, but my 700R4 only works in reverse and first. If I put it into drive and rev it up, the car begins to roll forwards, but then a metallic grinding comes form my tranny. What gives? Is my tranny dead? My torque convertor dead? Any connection that could have become loose from the vibration?
