Dumb question, but important :)

Will a shift kit help a 700R4 that is just beginning to silp a little during shifts under full throttle? I hope so because i just bought a B&M shift kit for it and would like to know before i put it in. Also, i raced a mustang yesterday (dont worry, i beat him), and my trans didnt shift into drive when i was racing him. i had to let off and put it into overdrive manually and then it kind of slowly fell into drive...i still beat him! But anyway, what would cause that? TV cable? Anyway, any info on the shift kit, i will appreciate!

If the trans is starting to slip, the shift kit will kill it the rest of the way.

Yah, take back the B&M kit and get the MUCH better TransGo kit. Or just save up for a trans rebuild and get the TransGo kit as part of the rebuild.
