too much tranny fluid in t5 ?

what happens if i over fill my t5 ? i know its low on fluid i just dont know how low it is...

i am about 100 miles away at my apt and i need to get the car back to my other house but the tranny over heats because there isnt enough fluid in it, and i dont have the tools to get to the drain plugs so i dont over fill it, i was just going to put some fluid in into it so i can drive it back and then take care of it when i get there.

Re: too much tranny fluid in t5 ?

your question seems a little odd . i don't know how add fluid to a t-5 without getting at the plugs . maybe you better take it to a service center . good luck .

Could, but I'd think that method would be more work than using the plug. Fill the trans at the plug until the fluid dribbles out and you're done--can't really overfill.

Re: too much tranny fluid in t5 ?

what u can do is fill the tranny with the fluid thru the shifter. and get to ur dest. then crack open the drain plug and let whatever excesse drain out and then ur not over filled. no more.
