Aluminum Driveshaft--Need Help!!

I'm thinking about purchasing one, but I don't know if it will work with my transmission. Are the driveshafts different for automatic and manual transmissions? If not, I'm going for it. Please let me know.

Driveshafts all the same for all V8 thirdgens with overdrive transmissions. I think the V6's are the same too. You can even use a driveshaft from an LT1 4th gen.

Some of the 4th gens had aluminum driveshafts. I got mine from a salvage yard. Paid about $100 for it. Fit my 3rd gen perfectly.

I forgot to mention (DUH!) the car the driveshaft is coming from is an automatic, but my car has the world class T-5, will it work?

Visually, the automatic and stick driveshafts look the same. But I know for a fact that the forth gen 6 speed aluminum d/s have a cardboard liner for sound deadening while the automatic cars have no inner liners.
Also, the 4th gen aluminium driveshafts have a balancer on the front slip yoke. I allways had a vibration problem when cruising at 70 or so. I thought that it was a tire, but as soon as I put the 4th gen aluminum driveshaft in it was gone. I am considering taking it off and putting a regular slip yoke in for weight reduction, but it would be about a half inch shorter. I don't know if it would cause any problems.
