'91 T-5 in '82 T/A
I'm putting a '91 T-5 in my '82 T/A. I know that I have to change the electric speedo drive to mechanical because of the speed sensor, but what kind of fly wheel should I use. Let me ask better, what size should I use? The engine comes from a '77 Impala with a turbo350. I haven't built it yet, 'cause I want to do everything at the same time. Do I have to measure the flexplate to get the ring gear size and # of teeth? I want to get something pretty heavy duty. My bird is a daily driver and I want to keep the price down so nothing like a $400 aluminum light weight, but pedal presure is not a problem. I got everything that I need from the '91 Camaro. Thanks.

You'll need the nuetral balance 153 tooth (12 3/4") flywheel with the 3.58" crank pattern...in other words order the small flywheel for a SBC w/ 2 piece rear main. Nodular Iron ones are really good for the money if you can find a place that doesn't have them backordered.

one thing I REALLY think you should check first before you put it all in the car is does the crank have the hole in it for your pilot bearing. some 70's do not so I would check ones from the 60's as well
