limited slip or open?

I have a 1990 Formula 350 WS6. Someone on this sight told me that GM did not put an open rear end in the 1990 Formula WS6. But when I take off only one tire spins. Could my limited slip be worn out and acting like an open rear end? Is this possible? I want to know because I need to know if it is worth getting this rear end rebuilt or not. I know a guy that will sell me a limited slip rear end for about $350. I can't decide what to do so any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Every 350 L98 I know about came with a posi. Yours is either worn out, or it was swapped with an open rear end. Do you have a 9-bolt or a 10-bolt? Count the number of bolts holding the differential cover on to find out.
