Bad reverse "boost-valve" in tranny??
Bad reverse "boost-valve" in tranny??
Whenever I shift into and out of reverse gear, there is a rather "harsh" engagement that makes the car "lurch" forward very slightly. Except for reverse gear, all (4) forward gears including "park" shift smoothly.
Would a bad reverse "boost-valve" be causing this problem? If so, do I need any "specialized" tools to R&R the front oil pump assembly in the trans to access the valve?
Thanks.
