Rebuilt trans leaking horribly
I just installed my rebuilt th350 that I paid a local guy who came recommended by some racers at the local track and it is leaking pretty bad. I installed it with the 385 I built and the motor fired right up and I noticed a broken stream of trans fluid coming from the front of the trans. I had a buddy add 2 quarts of fluid during the course of the break in so I wouldn't have to abort the flat tappet break in. After I started it again I looked under and saw it is coming from the part where the torque converter goes in and around the front pump. How hard is that to fix my self so I don't have to drive an hour to the guys shop to drop it off and wait maybe a week to get it back. I called the guy today at home but didn't get a response yet. I have no trans experience so is this something I should not even try to tackle? All I did was install the torque converter, is there any way I caused this, I don't see how. The converter went in smooth and installed all the way back with three clicks.
Thanks guys
