Diff leaking, and posi not working

Diff leaking, and posi not working
My diff is leaking a yellow thick substance, I think the gaskets on the diff are ****ed would low fluid in the diff cause the posi not to work?

sure would and the bearings to over heat and seize up. change the gasket refill with lube and gm posi additive.
