Quick Check up....

I replace the Filter the other Day, and there was Very very few visible Filings, the magnet was lightly Coated with some, But hardly anyhting there, I opend up the Filter and it was really quite clean.
this tranny has 150k On it, Looked like original Fluid ( ick! )

Was this un Normally Good For a tranny with such High Miles, or Just Normal For one thats Not ****ed up ?

How much do you know about its history? Mine had 123k but I knew nothing about its past. When I dropped the pan to change the fluid and filter, I found basically what you described. However, the original V6/TH200 was a completely different story. I suspect my donor car had been well maintained and serviced fairly recently before it was totalled.

Five7, I know Nothing about it, except that the Car is Visually perfect, the interior is clean, and the Motor Is Solid, I Imaigne that the Tranny is as Well.

it has No Leaks and I get about 30 psi Idleing and 40 Under Throttle, SO I guess the tranny is prolly Just fine.

The lack of metal filings means that nothing's getting chewed up; but it doesn't say anything about the condition of the clutches. Were there dark circles on the inside bottom of the pan? Did the trans fluid feel gritty, or did it smell burnt? Those 3 things are signs of clutch wear...
