I have been having fits with this TV cable thing. I adjust it like everyone says and the car will not rev up or kick down correctly. Max rpms 3800 when the car shifts it self. So I decided to drop the pan and see if the plugger is being pulled back all the way at wide open throttle. I opened the throttle by hand and put a small block of wood in it to hold it open. I checked the plunger and it is wide open no more to go. So then I checked it by the seating in the seat and stepping on the gas. There is still about a 1/4" to go. How do I take the play out of the throttle.??? I can shift the car by hand and bring it right up to 5500rpms with no problem. My car is a 89 GTA 700r4 with a 383 TPI. Trans has been rebuilt by a shop with shift hit,corvette servos. What do you think I should try next??
