TH 700 R4 has the whines

my 88 iroc stated to whine the other day, it only does this in gear, drive and reverse. i changed the fluid and filter, but its still the same. it has a 2500 stall non-lockup(not istalled by me) corvette servo, kevlar frictions and a shift kit. could it be the converter making this noise? or is my tranny on the way out? the thing still shifts and runs great just that damn whine. thanks guys.

Does the whine increase with engine rpm?
