Engine: carbed 350/ls1
Transmission: 700r4/ a4
Axle/Gears: 3.23 posi/ 3.73 posi
powertrax?

I had it in a series 3 carrier 5387. Changed it to a series 2 5388 and gap is to big need to shim it togather. Makes alot of nosiey. So i need shims or thrust washers to make the gap closer. where can i buy some shims?

i "rigged" one in my rear a while back, i used carrier bearing shims. I had them left over from a gear swap, not sure where to buy them

The thrust washers in these rear ends are all .030 thick. There isn't a selection to choose from. These thrust washers are hardened so that they will wear a long time. Most shims are soft, so they are likely to be chewed up quickly. If the gap is too wide then you probably have a worn case. The case gets worn from doing one wheel burnouts and can not be repaired. You might need to find another case.
