69 327....86 5 speed trany......will it work
hi i got a 69 327 and id like to put it in my 86 iroc, now i have a 5 speed standard transmission... will it work and if so how much stuff do i have to change

Yup, bolts right up, there's only 2 possibilities for a problem that I can see.
The first is the flywheel. I forget what the changeover year from two-piece to one-piece rear main seals was; you just need to make sure you have a 2-piece etype flywheel in the 153-tooth (12.whatever", not the 14") size.
The other is the accessory bolt holes in the ends of the heads. Some 327s had them and some didn't, depending on what chassis it came from. If the heads don't have them you'll basically never get your accessories to work.
But the trans itself bolts right to the block, the bell hosing and clutch and all that don't have to be changed at all except for the .

if its an original 69 327 then the accessory holes should be in the heads. if so, and you have the flywheel you need, then it will work. getting ready to drop a 327 and a 700r into mine....
