a quick 4L60E ?

If i was to use the 4L60E tranny out of a 4th gen camaro i know i have to use the computer for it. My question lies with the shifting assembly. How exactly does the transmision hook up to the 3rd gen shifter. And also i read that u can use the megashifter wit the 4L60E but u need some sort of a controler to send the signals to the cpu. Any help greatly appreciated.

If your just looking for a quick replacement tranny to get you out of a bind, don't do it. I really don't see how the shifter would be a problem, its the electrics that will give you the biggest problem.

Thanks for the response. The reason im asking about this is because im contemplating a lt1 swap wit the 4L60E. And i just wanted to know what the finishing touches would be on the instalation of this transmision.

As far as I know in '93, the first year of the fourth gen, GM used the 4l60 non electronic transmission(guys correct me if I'm wrong) if thats the case stick to that one. I'm also considering popping in a 4l60 to go along with a 3.4L from a '93 camaro in my thirdgen firechicken.
