what is G92?

what does g92 mean?

It means a performance option. If a better gear ratio is available, G92 will use it. G92 could also mean a bunch of other performance options are included such as G80 for posi. It's a package code similar to Z28, WS6 etc as opposed to a specific item.

RPO G92 was Performance Axle Ratio, however over the years the content varied as with the cost. It was NOT a stand alone option but required others to order, such as J65 (rear disc brakes), G80 (limited slip rear) as examples. You have to state the year to be sure what the G92 contained.
