Transmission problems

I have a 1985 camaro. The transmission just went out and I have a choice between a turbo 350 or rebuild my 700R4. This car is an everyday driver and I'm only 17 so money is a slight issue. Which one should I go with?

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Transmission problems

There's a lot less hassle involved in rebuilding the 700R4.

Re: Transmission problems

With the 700R4 you will save gas, which in the long run is the way to go. The TH350 is a little cheaper to build, but you will have adapt it to the vehicle which can get expensive, and you will lose overdrive, which will cost you more in gas and the added noise, which can be hard on your nerves. If you are going to do this yourself, then I have everything that is needed to build these. Dana
