also has anyone taken their 2:73 gears and swapped for a 3:73 and posi unit? i am seriously considering the swap and wanna know if its worth it.

It is definitly worth it.Mine cam stock with the 2.73 posi rear.When I did the 3.73 gear change I also replaced the posi with a new one.
If you replace both,make sure you get them both in a 3 series.

First Post! Anyways, definitely worth it. I had stock 2.73's in my '92 LO3. Now I have the SLP take-off posi w/ 3.73's. Haven't been to the track yet, but with my LO3, it breaks the tires loose in the 1-2 shift, and you can't beat the two lines of rubber!
